Message from the Founder

Born on March 15, 1935, in the parish of Celeirós, Braga, José Correia Fernandes is the founder of all the companies that make up the O Setenta Group. In March 1964, he established himself as a sole trader under the name “José Correia Fernandes — O Setenta.” This marked the beginning of the metalworking company “O Setenta,” whose name pays tribute to José’s father, Domingos Fernandes, who was police officer No. 70 in Braga.
